Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disease in which the fatty myelin sheaths around the axons. The brain and spinal cord are damaged by ones own immune system, leading to demyelination and scarring which affects the ability of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to communicate with each other. Disease onset usually occurs in young adults and it is more common in females. There is no known cure for MS offered by the orthodox medical world. Symptoms Almost any neurological symptom can appear with the disease and often progresses to physical and congetive disability. Symptoms include difficulty when walking, muscle spasms, numbness or 'pins and needles', impaired vision, tremor (shakes), clumsiness, slurred speech, poor memory, difficulty swallowing along with bladder and/or bowel problems.
